Head of Product Management

Permanent, c£65,000 - £80,000

Remote based role with occasional travel to sites across the UK

 

The Head of Product Management is a newly established role for my client and the vision is to drive product management through exemplary business analysis and leadership. The role will ensure that enterprise digital, data, and technology solutions are aligned, user-centric and user-friendly, and ultimately drive operational efficiency. 'Product' bridges technical and business needs and delivers iterative, agile and impactful innovations that enhance the service that this organisation provides to its clients.

Required:

  • Extensive experience of Product Management and Business Analysis (ideally within the healthcare and/or charity sector) in Agile environments to deliver customer and outcome-led solutions
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, to build strong relationships to develop hypotheses, test and learn and iteratively develop technical solutions to business problems
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. As a strong communicator you will work with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and solve problems using digital and data
  • Experienced leading cross-functional teams, being comfortable leading from the front and taking a hands-on approach
  • Experienced line manager
  • Naturally innovative with a problem solving, curious outlook  
  • Demonstrable experience in managing vendors,
  • Strategic mindset with experience in implementing digital/product frameworks and driving continuous improvement
  • Analytical capability and using digital, data and technology able to re-engineer processes using an iterative approach
  • Financial acumen to demonstrate the value of products and commercials to support prioritisation activities
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of an Agile product development lifecycle including SDLC, product strategy development, story writing and requirements definition
  • Thorough understanding of emergent digital/technological landscape, particularly around AI
  • Able to work outside of core hours or on weekends where a product/project may require it and travel for important meetings in SE/SW of the England  and sometimes nationally
  • Formal Product Management accreditation (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Institute Certification, AIPMM Certified Product Manager)

Desirable

  • Prince2 and/or Agile project management qualifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager)
  • MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) qualification
  • Business, strategy / leadership certifications (e.g., MBA, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking)
  • Knowledge of working with NHS, CCG or CQC or healthcare environment
